Steering wheel controls lost after installing radio
I just recently installed an alpine ute73bt radio in my 2003 Maxima. I’m aware that you need an adapter in order to use the steering wheel controls with an after market head unit but an issue I ran into is that the little screen on the odometer that displays mpg, trip distance, temp, etc isn’t able to change. I was wondering if I added the adapter if the issue would be fixed or if anything else is wrong.

i have the same exact headunit. totally made my car feel completely reviatlized and up to date technology wise.
why would you not originally do the steering wheel controls? seems crazy to do all that work and not do %5 more work.
also sometimes my next track steering button works, and then it doesn't , literally 50 50 i dont understand it at all, back track works 100% and down volume.
