I was due for some new struts plus I wanted to go a little lower up front. I've had the Megan racing springs since 2013 and the last time I installed a set of struts was in 2016 and went with Gabriel Ultras. this time i went with Tein S Tech and KYB GR-2 struts. springs were $275 and struts were $315 shipped from rock auto, also have new strut boots and upper mounts.

the car has a more solid feel compared to the Megan Racing springs I had paired up with the Gabriel Ultra struts. still a comfortable ride and feels good at highway speeds. the rear is about the same height as the Megan springs and the front is a little lower now. I went for an alignment today and I was told that the camber and caster was ok and only needed toe adjustment.

245/40-18 tires on 350Z touring wheels.

I have close to 50,000 miles on my KYB GR2's with the original springs. Next time I do the replacement I would like to install springs as well.

 

these cars come with a ton of fender gap and look way better lowered. the Tein S-Tech springs are stiffer but still comfortable. all the other springs I came across leave a ot of fender gap.

 

I just did KYB-GR2 with HR springs and it’s a very comfortable ride. Front does sit a tad higher than back but love the feel of this setup.

 

I think Tein Advance Z Coilovers and BC BR Coilovers are the best option for lowering your vehicle and having the adjusts necessary to dial in your level of comfort or sport.

 

My 4th Gen is running Tein S-Tech springs and I had AGX all all around for an awesomely comfortable ride! Then one day AGX were no later available. There are Koni Orange STR available for front and Rear still (non adjustable) but a damn good shock compared to GR-2, Grabriel, etc...Fitment Industries has a lot of parts that are hard to find as well.

 

I've never had the patience for dealing with adjustable springs. I just grab a set of lowering springs and a decent set of shocks with new mounts and call it a day. my maxima is a daily driver and my motorcycle is my toy..

just going to keep it white and paint the swing arm and rear subframe black. I'm about to do the 2012 fairing conversion, 2008-2016 is the same bike so the fairings fit perfect. just have to change the headlamp and ram air tube. it also makes the oil filter easy to get to. here's an example I found online..

it's not a gixxer, it's a Honda, CBR1000RR.

I'm going to wait until I get my tax return to paint the Maxima, the guy that did the body work said he will do it for $1,500 . I'm considering a mesh style grill. one of my friends also hooked me up with a set of G37 coupe 19's so I'm considering getting those painted black and having them ready for when I paint the car. they were plasti dipped black but I was thinking I would have them painted gloss black but if that's too much I'll just clean them up real good and keep them silver. the one in the pic is the only one that has some curb rash...

What color for the car though? I would go with paint for the rims, those would look good black. My Maxima is a 2003 with a 2014 gen2 VQ. 90k on the motor now.

 

i'm just going to repaint the car a plain glossy white, no pearl like stock.

I swapped in a 2014 engine this past summer and so far I've put 15,000 miles on it. the engine I picked up was from a 2014 Maxima that had 102,000 miles.

I may have to drop the tranny again cause this 6 puck is getting annoying, it was advertised as being smooth engaging but it's super grabby.

Nice, I've always liked the look of a mesh grill in these cars.

I've had several clutches over the years. I ran a stage3 for a while and the pedal was so stiff it was a pain to drive. I finally swapped it for a stage1 even though it had plenty of life left in it. A stage1 is really all these cars need unless they're seriously modded for power AND traction. Even with HLSD and drag radials the tires spin too easily. I've found the lack of traction easier to deal handle with a lighter feeling clutch.

 

I think you meant adjustable struts no springs. AGX are adjustable struts and they were the best combo for the S-Tein springs.
