VTC Selonoid
VTC Selonoid
Coming home on interstate 2 days ago my check engine light came on about 6 miles from home. No notable sign of problems. I scanned with my OBD and got the P0011 code. (VTC advanced timing on bank 1.) I installed a new selonoid and changed my oil of course. Today light came on again after driving only a few miles. Not fun removing that manifold! What puzzles me is that the car idles & runs perfect. Can any one tell me what are the other possibilities. BTW, the one on bank 2 was replaced two years ago.
I'm having a similar issue after swapping in the 2014 engine. I keep getting P0021 every once in a while at start up. car runs fine with no issues but I haven thrown any parts at it yet. I'm guessing it's the cam position sensor since I installed new VCT solenoids before putting in the new engine and also the car was in a frontal accident that hit the front valve cover.
