it came on at around 47k miles for the first time, I thought it was something to do with the oil because it came on the day after i got my oil changed, It ook it back to firestone, and he said it's probably because of a 50k tune-up. Does it come on around this time for everyone?? Thanks.

I don't think it's for a "tune-up"

I've got a '98, and in the last year and a half I've had it, I've racked up 75K miles. The light has never turned on, except the one time I left the gas cap off. But it turned itself off after a few days. Andi has a FAQ that can show you how to get a reading off the ECU to see what its beef is.

I don't think it's set to go off after a certain # of miles like some oter cars (Chrysler's)I know of.

mine did the same

mine went off and I went to the dealer and had the code read. One of my oxygen sensors was bad, but it was a factory recall so it was replaced for free.
