Can anyone tell me what this is? Ive been getting a CEL and p0455 code so i got a smoke machine and did a test, this is where all the smoke was coming from. It was located next to the charcoal canister. I did a Google lens search, but it was showing me parts that looks similar, but not exactly like this, This is my first time dealing with any evap issues

 

thats your evap canister vent filter.


theres more to it than just putting smoke in and finding the leak. you need to electrically close the vent solenoid to smoke test things. you need to verify the purge solenoid is operating as designed.

look around here with the search tool for your code, it has been fixed and talked about around here.

when it comes to evap you have EVAP CANISTER PURGE VALVE, EVAP CANISTER, AND EVAP PVCV in the engine bay.
