Strange electrical issue

I started my 02 this afternoon and as I was driving I could smell an electrical burn kind of smell. I had hoped it was from outside but it stayed with me a few minutes. I pulled over and popped the hood but no signs. Eventually the smell went away. I had to run to the store and I noticed that my keyfob would not open the trunk, nor turn the alarm on or off, or open the locks. I opened the door with the key and I could use the door switch for the trunk. Car started fine. It was hot out and the AC was set such that the fan started increasing but there was nothing blowing out of the vents. I tried manual and same thing - fan shows on but no blowing. I was able to roll down and up the windows and sunroof. When I got home I checked the fuse bay on the driver's side - nothing obvious. Checked the relay bay on the passenger side - nothing obvious. I did not pop open the relay box that sits in front of the battery. Clearly the burning smell is a wire or relay but it would have to be for something that involved the car alarm, remote operation, and ac fans. Car starts fine. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Every time I smell electrical burn type smell, It's my rear caliper sticking! Congrats on being here for 25 years. I fan blower might be going bad. I hope you'll get it figured out and it's nothing serious!
