Stuck Accelerator Pedal!!!

Hey all, just so you know, be careful if your car is outside and cold... I left a parking lot and got on a main road, the car was like 3/4 warmed up (according to temp gauge), and i went WOT. The next thing i knew, the pedal stuck full down! I tried to get my foot under it, but no luck. I then hit the brakes, and was just about to pop it into neutral when the pedal came back out. WHEW! A few mins later, i went to WOT again to test it, no problem, like normal... must have been the pedal lubrication freezing or somethin. Oh well, look out all...

See what you should do is go to your local Infiniti dealer, and complain about the stuck pedal, and If they can't duplicate the problem make them give you a new 2002 I35. I hear Infiniti has the best costumer service so I'm sure they will help you out..

Report It

Since the stuck pedal is a safety issue and design flaw you should report it to the NHTSA. If enough people report it, they will force Nissan to issue a recall and a fix.

Also the new Sentra SE-R's are having the same problem. Do you have aftermarket floor mats, because sometimes my pedal use to get stuck on that, so I removed them.

As I recall,

there are others reporting this.. I've seen two other reports of this, and I believe it was a max and it was cold out. I wish I could remember where I read that.. maybe I dreamt it :/

I had my throttle stick when I put my cai on. A clamp was in the way when going wot. Jamed the pedal past it and it wouldn't come back. Scared the **** out of me. Simple adjustment to the clamp fixed it but it does catch you by surprise.
