I sent them an email a while a go and they confirmed that it works on 2K2. I called them a couple of days ago, to place an order, and was told that it wouldn't fit a 2K2. I sent a second email to clarify and Wic said it works. Then I called again and was told that it doesn't work on all 2K2. According to them, some have different brackets on the struts. Who is BSing me?

 

I just installed theirs on my 02SE. However, I have to say the bar looks strikingly like the Japan Trust bar. It may be that the bar they originally sold (the one pictured on their site) doesn't work for the 02 but the Trust bar does.

 

Are you talking to the same person each time?

 

Each time I called they checked with the parts manager and consistantly told me it doesn't fit. Wic and Randy emailed me back and said it does fit. I just called again and the person said that they are going to update the website to say that it doesn't fit 2K2.

Interesting becuase their are a couple ppl on here who have the courtesy bar on their 2k2.


I asked him the otherday. maybe emax95 will jump in and speak up!!\

 

check out these three sites! none of them have the FSTB for 2K2 available. It's either out of stock or coming soon. Bruce Melton's pics with the Courtesy bar on his 2K2 look fine to me...

 

i have it on my 2k2 and it fits with some effort.. however, i assume it rubs on my intake manifold making a clinging/grinding sound when the engine vibrates (hard acceleration, reverse) and it squeaks sometimes on hard turns so i wouldnt reccomend it if you havent bought it yet. Wait until nismo comes.. i am SURE that they'll have a strut bar for the 2k2 max... as for my courtesy bar.. i gotta take it off, it wasnt a good $90 investment.

 

I have 02 install.
I would recommend you rotate the bar a bit to the rear and it will not rub. If they raise the bar we will hood problems.
