LED Taillights

Has anyone seen the plug-in LED brake lights on a car WITHOUT clear taillight housings?

I really like the look of LED brakelights (Like BMW, Mercedes and Cadillac) and I'm thinking about buying the bulbs and a generic LED Third brake light (I don't have the spoiler on my GXE)

Any thoughts?

I work for an LED mfg, and the off the shelf LED bulbs will look like sheeat behind a tail light lens. A general rule of thumb with LEDs is the LED array should be approx. 80% the size of the lens you're trying to illuminate, otherwise you'll have a hot spot in the middle of the lens.

By the way... I'm currently working on a side project at work to make a White LED array for the front parking light for the 2K2 Max. I'm trying to figure out a way to open the headlight fixture and change the bulb from the front. Any ideas?!?
