HELP! 2k2 Eibachs making noises...

Guys,

Finally got my Eibachs on today with my GReddy Evo. I have a problem with the springs. The springs are making noises. They constantly squeak. Any suggestions on a quick fix? Also, when I turn my steering wheel, there is a click, click sound. Did anyone experience this click click sound?

Any suggestions or input would be great.

for the squeaking, did you put the plastic parts on the bottom on the springs like stock?

The plastic part is on the top of the spring. Should it be on the bottom?

What about the click click click when I turn the steering wheel?

On the stock springs(front)there is a plastic wrap on the bottom of the spring. You can get cable wrap to put on the lower coil to stop the rubbing (squeaking).

Not sure about the steering.. hopefully you don't have a CV joint problem.

This is the very same reason I wont slam my car; more problems. How do you like the Greddy Evo?

For the ticking sound, aside from a possible CV problem, make sure there aren't any clearance issues with the wheels and suspension/body points whent the wheel is at full left and right steering lock.

The funny thing is, when the wheel is turned to the right, it makes a clicking noise. When going back to the left, it doesn't make that noise. We put the car back on the lift and turned the wheel. It didnt make any noises. But when we were back on the ground it made the click noises again. It only happens when I am backing out of a parking spot or when I am starting to make a turn from a dead stop.

The squeaking from the rear and the clicking is bothering me so much. What should I do?

Check out the Technical Service Bulletins. The last one is for right front strut noises on 2Ks. Maybe you're having the same problem.

They will void your warranty and put you on the bad list. Now you see why Russ was upset.

If you resolve your Eibach problems, I'd be happy to buy your rear stock SE springs.
