I'm looking for good SQ. I'll be using my existing Alpine amp to push the new sub as well as my existing sub box which is pretty tiny- I dont know the dimensions. Will that MB quart work good in a small box?

Depends what your looking for it to do. To me the best all around sub would be the mb quart premium. Best sounding out there out of hte box and is capable of getting loud if you power it right. It does go for 360 but thats not bad for a 10 that does all that it does. And you can get them cheaper elsewhere.

i've got a a single mtx amp bridge to a single 10" in a bandpass that i wired myself with speaker level inputs. very simple. very reliable. very loud if i want it to be. simple and i'm happy with it. i never wanted a big boomer anyhow, just good low end without distortion. i'll have to eventually get around to putting in my dynamat tho.
