'02 Bose problem
Hi gang,
Just purchased my '02 SE on the 14th (V-day gift from significant (?) other). It has the Bose in-dash 6-CD system. I have noticed the stereo's volume changing from time-to-time. At times, the bass is overpowering (and muddy), then, the highs will kick in at a later time. Other times, very limited bass. Has anyone experienced this before?
Also, I'm considering upgrading the system with Quart 6.5" seperates in the doors (tweeter in existing pillar pod) and am wondering how much clearance there is in the door itself. When the window is down, is it behind the speaker? This will determine whether I bother with a F/G enclosure for the doors.
Thanks in advance...

Yeah. I didn't know what the SVC was on mine when I first got it. Kept wondering why it seemed like my stuff was so loud. Figured it out though. I keep mine on low as well.
Hey steve, did you get my order for the frankentake?

The SCV is probably turned on, causing the volume to change as you go faster or slow down. Use the 'Audio' button to cycle through the options until you get to 'SCV', and turn it off.

I think I mentioned in another post that the manual doesn't really cover everything on the radio.
