Universal Hi-Flow cat...

Hey guys, this afternoon I visited a speed shop, they had a lot of stuff and the owner was kinda cool, he showed me some Universal Hi-Flow Cats that would supposedely fit our max, it's SS-Polish, look really nice and 100$ CDN, dont know the company name though, what do you guys thing of universal Hi-Flow cats ? Should I just buy one and try it or keep the oem Nissan cat ?

Any valuable opinion is welcome.

Cheers

judging by your mods, id say go for it. youve got every exhaust mod except a b pipe without the huge crimp that a stock one has. a cat alone wont do crap but it would just about finish off your exhaust. as far as gains, dont be expecting anymore than 2-3, at least thats what im told.

judging by what hes got so far, id say you wouldnt notice any different in the noise just cause its probably loud as is. if anything maybe a little more of droning noise.

After market cats (at least the Random tech) have been known to eliminate the droning noise over stock. Especially if you have a cat back.

About universal Hi-Flow Cats...

Thanks guy, for your comments, anyway I decided to buy it and see by myself, cuz since I'm redoing my entire exhaust in SS. and finally I'm going to remove the resonator with the crush tips, anyone can tell me were to get a B-Pipe, SS would be preferable cuz of winter and rust so this way I will never have to do it again right ! SS doesn't rust

Cheers and thanks again, bros.

I spoke with the speed shop owner this pm and he confirm the Hi-Flow Cats is 2.5 inch, 99$CDN balony which is about 62$US and is made of SS polish, so I'm going to buy one next week-end and install when the nice weather will be back in 2-3 weeks.

When I'm finish with the install I'll give you guys a feedback about it.

Cheers

The hi-flow cat for 62$US?... Where are you buying it from, might I ask? Is there a website?

Thanks,
G

Hey 02MaXiMa_GLE, it's a local speed shop in the MTL area, I guess for that price it must be a product made in Canada unless he import containers of those. The website is www.jsperformance.com and you dont see half of what they have in the store, not shure if the Hi-Flow Cats is identified on the website.

Like I said in the thread, I'm gonna buy one and test it, but I'm not idiot, I know a Hi-Flow Cats wont give you much more power 1-3 hp maybe. What I had in mind was to complete my exhaust set-up with everything made of SS. I'll let you know how it goes soon though, and perhaps if you guys are interested I can buy a whole bunch of it and sell it to you with, but first I have to verify that it fit the max, I'll check that saturday.

Cheers

Let us know how it turns out. One good 'cheer' deserves another... so ...CHEERS!

WOW, I just checked out their pricing... CHEAP after you do the US conversion! One of the reasons I love vacationing in Toronto

Thanks,
G
