Raced Neon R/T with mods...
He Guys, yesterday I was on my way back from the speed shop, I see this Black Neon R/T with a dual exhaust, we are side by side, his car was kinda loud, dont know what kind of mods he has but... anyway soon as I see him trying to pass me on the right side, I punched it, I kinda took 2 cars on him but he was following but could never passed me, dont know if he was playing with me but the way he drove I kind of felt some respect from him, cuz soon as we hit the next red light, both lane were merging, so when the light turn green he didn't punch it to merge in front of my lane instead he was waiting for me to pass first but I finally let him go first and merge in my lane, cuz I'm always a gentleman with nice people. It was fun and safe though.

Dodge Neon SRT-4
First seen - briefly -- at the Los Angeles auto show, Dodge's Neon SRT-4 is a production-ready racecar that threatens to stake a serious claim in the sport compact market. Priced just under $20,000, the SRT-4 boasts a 2.4-liter/205-horsepower turbocharged engine. Dodge claims a musclecar-worthy 5.9-second 0-60 mph time! Power is not all at the high-end, either, with 220 lb-ft of torque available at 2000 rpm. A complete package, the SRT-4 features aggressive fascias, dramatic spoiler, sport suspension, 17-inch wheels, large brakes, six-speaker AM/FM/CD stereo, leather Viper-style bucket seats, three-spoke steering wheel, power amenities, and air conditioning.
Not a fan of Neon but the SRT-4 coulda been nice for the wife.

Food for thought:
Oh, BTW, per C&D the stock R/T does the 0-60 in 7.6s. and the 1/4 Mile in 16.10.
I don't doubt that modified Neon can be fast but I still think those cars are like Chev. Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire... Everywhere you look there's one and in it, a kid that thinks he's cool!
Still, like you said, if you got respect from a Neon driver, that's great!
