After the Cattman Y-Pipe
Please give me your thoughts if you have this mod.
I had my y pipe installed. Definitely feel the difference in performance. However one simple problem or could be major.
Why did the idle sped change? Has anyone else seen this too? HOw did you get it fixed. Go to the dealer?
When I drive local or highway, shifting back to neutral from any gear make the engine drop below 500 rpm and then it revs back to 650 rpm or 700 I cant tell. but the engine doesnt rev down like it used to.
The other day when it rained. The engine was really cold, I tried to start the car and it started but died out twice before I could get it to start. Even driving on highway today... going on the off ramp for an exit .... I shifted out to neutral and the car stalled. I had to start the engine before I lost control...
Any thoughts ... please help..
If i need to get the engine retuned or get the idle recalibrated please let me know. or is it because of less backpressure. Or because the ECU was not reset before putting in the y pipe.

I agree with EMAX cause when I installed my Cattman Ypipe 3weeks ago, I did not notice any IDLE rpm changes. Everything seemed normal and still does. Only thing is I get wheel spin alot easier now.

When I installed my Cattman Y-Pipe I didn't notice any changes in RPM idle. It stayed the same. The only time I noticed my RPM dropping or fluctuating was when I had an Intake leak. After I fixed that, all is fine now..

Thanks for the info. I dont have an intake and dont really know where the MAFS is..
Quite possibly the tech who put it in maybe damaged it. It is possible to repair it on my own or get a mechanic shop to fix it?
If I go to the dealer the warranty would be void right?
Any thoughts on how to get this repaired.

I had the same problem cured by reprogramming the ECU for the fuel-cut issue.
Don't know if the 2k1s have the same problem or not. Don't know why the y-pipe would cause that problem unless it is 02 sensors. Could it be coincidence?
Only bad thing is I wouldn't take it to the dealer with y-pipe on there.
