Re-Program the ECU on 5th gen Max?.........

Okay, does anyone know if the 5th gen maximas (Fed Emission)'s ECU are re-programmable to have wider emission windows?

Excuse me but what are you talking about? Emissions are mandated by the state/fed Gov't.

Like the TSB mentions to error code P0420. But that applies to Cali Emission only, I want to have it done to Fed Emission maximas!
Somehow my CEL does not like my CAI & RT Cat combo and kept giving me CEL. Maybe reprogramming the ECU might hlep! Any ideas!!!

Just talked to a mechanic who going to tech school specializing in the computer control of cars. Said they have a 3.5 Altima that they have tweeked,just through the computer, dynoing 255hp at the wheels. Tried to inquire about the computer interface to do this, apparently only dealers can purchase them via Nissan headqtrs for the low low price of about 7 grand....

Oh no you don't. You don't get to say something like that without offering some back-up. Get this guy on the org, set up an account for him, we have questions.

Personally, I'm not sure I buy it, but I still have to give it a chance.
