Yeah, yeah, yeah. I read the thread on the CL forum. I know, I get it. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

You have GOT TO realize the irony of this situation, Russ. You have been trashing CL's for a year or more on this forum and then you went and bought one. Then you go and tell the forum owner on the CL board that we are "idiot Maxima owners." You are the epitome of hypocrisy and irony all at the same time.

I think it is great that you are happy with your buying decision of a new Acura CL-S. However, it makes every single thread you've posted regarding that car look like the jealous garbage that every CL owner suggested it was.

I am sure that every post you type on the CL board will be accepted as just the same thing. Jealous garbage because you drive a car which is, by your own words, slower than the 5th gen Maxima.

Russ' most likely response: Just wait until the six-speed CL-S comes out.

I'm just glad that you got the CL-S instead of that dreaded Jetta. The CL-S is a nice car with a nice engine and I respect the car and the brand. Congrats on your new car. I think you made an excellent choice, only I would have gotten the 6-speed. I a little amazed that you said that you would not modify this car other than tint. So I guess your track racing days are behind you? Good luck with the car.

Actually, I asked Sprint to post up old posts where you lambasted the CL-S just to remind you of how your opinions help construe the impression that you don't understand reality in your own mind when you say something and wonder why people don't take you seriously and poke fun at you for your statements.


But it appears that doug somehow saw the request and Sprint posted a link to doug's site that had the thread from Thursday night up.....


I was all upset this morning to learn it was already deleted. I didn't even get to read all of it until just now.

This is GREAT. Russ good luck with your slow CL-S. I cant wait till he comes back whining about his tranny going out. IMO u should have bought a used 330i, which is a lot more car than a CL

Yea, track days are behind me unless I buy a old car and build it up. These cars are not made to be drag raced, any car really. And it will just tear them up. I don't want to tear this car up, its just too great. A 5spd or 6spd makes people want to race more. I got the auto to slow me down, and its just a nice car to have one in. At least some people have respect, thanks man.

Yea, real moderators take care of issues like this instead of trying to start them like you wanted too.

 

The tranny won't go out if you don't abuse it. Alot of those guys who had there trannys go are modded and have been to the track.

Hmmmm....well....you've been caught in several lies so I don't understand how me trying to point that out or ask you questions for clarification is "starting" anything. You are the one stating the original opinion and/or contention. I am simply responding.

Points to keep in mind as this "discussion" or "flame war" or "whatever the hell you want to call it to make yourself look better" thread:

• I didn't talk **** in the CL forums to the point of near banishment and then turn around and buy one.
  
• You didn't address any of the quotes that Sprintmax posted of your own comments blasting CLs, ESPECIALLY their transmissions.
  
• You don't answer my questions/concerns regarding your own comments here or in your forums where you have complete control other than to say "quit starting flame wars" when all I did was ask you questions.
  
• You seem to not understand that people have memories and know what you say only to see you turn around and say something opposite to:
  
  A) Gain favor with another member.
  
  B) Grandstand to another member you don't like or have personal issues with.
  
  or
  
  C) Justify your financial decisions.
  
• You said the dot org shouldn't be run as a business on these forums and then turn around in clubmaxima's forums and say that dot org could be run as a business if "the right person" was running it. I assume that means you since apparently you are the only one capable....
  
• You seem to still be convinced that the new Maxima is coming out late this year as a 2003 model and will look nearly identical to the G35.
  
• You also thought that picture that convinced you of the opinion above was a left hand drive vehicle with New York plates when it was plain as day that they were foreign plates and the shape of the dash indicated a right hand drive vehicle.
  
• You said you would never get rid of the 2k1 Maxima.
