My 01 Maxima has 13000 miles, 10 month. In the last week, it has 4 times hard start. I did have hard start before, but not so often as this.

Except oil change and tire rotation, I only change the air filter.

I want to get some knowledge before I took to dealer. Thanks,

What do you mean by hard start? Takes a a couple of pulls on the key to get it going? Thats known on these cars. I've noticed that if I shut everything off before I start the car the next time, it happens less. Also noticed that parking on a slope has negative affects as well.

I have the same problem on my 01 with 11k miles. It only does it sometimes which makes it hard to reproduce at the dealer. Mine only happens when it is cold...engine starts and immed. stalls. This happened 4 times in a row the other day. Other times it just won't start after 3-4 cranks...this the dealer told me was 'normal' though. That sounds like a bunch of bull. My 98 with 70k miles started on the first try every time. Fortunately my check engine light just came on, so maybe now the dealer can diagnose this damn problem. Going into the dealer on Thursday.
