Meguiars Step 2 Polish Question on Directions

Directions: Wash and dry vehicle. Car should be cool and in the shade. SHAKE WELL. Apply small amount onto 100% terry cloth towel or applicator pas and work thoroughly into the surface. Wipe dry with 100% terry cloth towel. For lasting protection follow with Meguiar's Deep Crystal Wax.

1)I don't have a 100% terry cloth towel so will any clean towel do?

2)How should I work it into the paint EI. rub in a circular motion or in a straight up/down or side/side motion?

3)The directions state to wipe dry with 100% terry cloth towel, but it doesn't mention of letting to polish dry and harden on the surface, should I let it dry? I've used other polishes before, and they say to let it dry, then wipe off.

You wanna use small circular motions and cover the entire car. I only do 2 panels at once. Then let it dry, and "Wax Off" the car by going on the opposite direction. You may want to rotate back and forth the hand you use so you don't get to tired. Any ?'s, e-mail me. (One eye waxes on, the other waxes off)

Other than telling you to throw away the Mequires and get some www.zainobros.com or www.pinnaclewax.com, I can only provide one hint. A DIAPER.......buy some cloth ones at any 24 hour store like Kmart or Walmart.

first off, i wouldn't work it in using a circular motion. i'd go back and forth. (less chance of swirls forming)

and about the towels, if you have any microfiber towels around, that's what i'd use.

but if you don't i'd use some of those foam pads. i think they are better, than terry cloth towels, because they don't tend to absorb so much of the polish/wax.

and then to take it off, i'd use either a terry cloth or again a microfiber if you have one.

and last meguirs isn't bad stuff at all, gives you a deep look. but the carnuba in the wax, kind of doesn't last long, and it attracts dust.

i'd go with the recommendation of not using the meguirs(don't dump it) and get some zaino, or klasse, and or maybe pinnacle stuff.

...or just get some Meguiar's #20 and then put some #26 on top of it if you want to stay with Meguiar's. #20 is their sealant glaze and it provides the durability of Klasse but is not as deep in the shine department.

hmmm, i didn't know that. i didn't think #26 was too durable when i applied it. well it's just nothing compared to when i put klasse on.
