guys, i finally got the new muffler for my dear max. I got it from ebay, it's an Apexi universal muffler with 150 shipped. I installed it already. I couldn't tell how happy i m with the deep sound. i can't feel the gains, but i just want sound. Also come with the silencer, i think i got the great deal!!

Just do a search on ebay....in the search field, type "universal muffler" it has alot, just remember the inlet size is 2.5".....i could not find mine now, but this is the simular one that i got. It has a really deep tone and sound in any RPM, especially during 2k-3k is the loudest. if want a muffler with HP gain...get the more expensive one like Greddy or HKS or Stillen. This one only have the sound, eventhough it said will increase 10-15 HP, but that's just a BS, since i just want the sound, this is the best for me and it's cheap. about the silencer, it has the big difference if u put it on and u can keep the cop away. but inside of the car, still kinda loud, but not as loud as without the silencer. the following link is like the one i got! like this one

10-15 lol, the most gains i've seen from the muffler alone is less then 3

 

so you just bought that muffler and it bolts right in place of the stock muffler

no welding or anything?

 

i took it to the muffler shop, they use the fire thing(dont know what's that called) to heat it up and intall it for me, it cost me 25 dollars and wait for 20 mins.
