Jwt Pop Charger Noise!!

Hi guys!

After I had installed my POP-Charger and I press the gas pedal I hear some strange noise like 'pssssssssss'. Has anyone expirienced the same noise??? It's really annoying me. Although I like how it sounds at 4000 rpm.

Thanks, Ruslan

That's normal.. It's just the sucking of the Air to the filter.

I had the same problem..Only mine had a squeeky sound like a ballon when I would accelerate and of course after 4,000RPM it sounds great. I will go back to stock then maybe get the franken intake.

The Intake are not the Max's biggest weakpoint, so you should get about 4-10HP depending on your intake and circumstances.

As far as which is best, It depends.

If you are a highway guy, and could care less about your low end power really, get a frankencar intake. It's your popcharger with cold air intake piping from behind the popcharger into the throttle body. (gets rid of the resonators)

But if you a guy who loves his low end and low city passing power, get a Cold air intake. It sits outside the engine bay so you don't get all that hot air sucked into your engine bay, so it doesnt lag you. But, like others say, it has a straw effect, where on the highway air has to travel further so it isnt as good as pop on the highway yadi yadi yadi.

The cold air intake is also the loudest intake at WOT. (wide open throttle, flooring it) It hisses and roars like a dragon at WOT, much different than a popcharger (I know, I've had a popcharger and now have CAI), but is docile under normal driving.

Cold air intake is alot more expensive and requires mechanical skills to install. Not for beginners. Here is a couple pics of the Cattman CAI in my engine bay

The hissing is normal. It's just sucking in air. The roaring sound above 4k rpms is definitely normal

Mine squeeks, it is nothing bad. Just the amount of air being sucked in.

What is this? Has the truth finally sunk in? Has Craig Mack finally accepted the truth? The CAI is not the only and best intake?!

Who has turned now, my friend?

Install what you can, they all make some difference. JWT, Berktuning, stillen....they all give something.

I ordered the BerkTuning Intake/Popcharger...Good price and strait to the point.
