Rubbing noise in balljoint. Got it checked but...
Hey everyone,
So the other day, I hear this dull rubing noise coming from the front axle (on the right side)(rubbing, not squeeking). When I take it to my mechanic, he tells me that the thing (dont know the technical term...something or other boot?) covering the balljoint is rubbing against itself. I was told it wouldn't cause any damage. The noise went away after driving for a while, but it came back this morning, and then went away agian.
Anyone ever experience anything like this? Could I have melted the thing out of place? (I was out the night before getting my addrenaline fix, so everything was hot as hell when I got back).
Any input would be much appreciated. I hate to hear my baby in pain.
Thanks
Daniel
