Welp I'm wondering on this ooglie thing.

How would it look on my car?

Also, are there better ones that stay on? I mean, those ones we just saw/talked about look really really el-cheap-o.

They do make functional ones that you actually wire into your radio. Those require drilling but they do have a real mounting bracket too.

Also, I think the coolest ones I have seens are on the Ford Focus. They mount right at the front of the roof. It lines up with the slope of the windshield and just looks neat.

Well I wouldn't mind installing a real one -- I'd actually love to use it as an external antenna for my wireless Ethernet.

I have a glass mounted radio antenna that's functional. It looks like a cell phone antenna only longer. It does help a little in fringe radio reception areas but the down side is it makes a slight whistling noise at highway speed.

I think it'll look nice on an I30. Try looking into getting a functional version if you're going wireless. Post some pics when you get it done please.
