HLSD order delay
HLSD order delay
For those who have been following the saga of my troubles in taking delivery of an ordered HLSD SE, it seems the end may be near: the salesman called this morning with a VIN and expected delivery date of March 22. Like many others on the forum, I negotiated for this car in November shortly after Nissan began accepting HLSD orders, but apparently unlike everyone else, my paperwork got waylayed by some gremlin in the dealership's ordering department. It looks like the car will get here finally, just a couple of months late--still in time for the $1000 rebate, though
Nice. Are you from the North east area. Ironic, I got a call too saying mine would be in on March 22nd. I ordered it Nov 13th. Fully loaded 2k2 se, w/ HLSD, Navigation, and everything else you could possibly order on it. Damn 2 weeks is far away. I got a stillen intake and Eibach springs waiting to install on it....

I placed deposit for my HLSD car on 12-22. Dealer ordered 1-9, with arrival expected in March. I just called dealer--"Looks like you're pushed to April," he says. "Call again in a week or two, and we'll probably have the VIN and a date. . . ."
With 206,000 miles on the clock, my '91 SE croaked from a burned out clutch last month. (I knew it was going, but hoped it'd hold out 'til the new car came in.) I'm now making do as best I can with a '97 Ford Escort with autotragic trans.
