whats up with the 2k2s??

Maybe my memory fails me, but I remember the worst thing that happened to my 2k max (A VERY early 6/99 build) was my AC was overcharged from the factory. Oh and some odd paint stuff.

I know the brakes and engine are new, but whats up with all these broken maxes in the first few days of ownership? ABS, control arms, cracked blocks (I think my cousin had a cracked block on her 3.5L Pathfinder too), and so on.

The worst I had was a hard starting issue for awhile. I was thinking that a 2k2 was my way out of my 2k problems. Sounds like frying pan vs. fire.

Yeah, I know, most are probably fault free and only a small number of vocal owners post here, but it means that a new one is by no means a sure thing.

bummer.. I doubt things will get better as manufacturing is shut down and moved to the US. but what do I know...

Unfortunate to the consumer it takes a few try's to get it right. I will put money down that the maxs that are assemble now will have fewer problems than the guys and girls who brought their cars when the 02 first came out.

just my $.02

I got a Christmas Maxima. Built on 12/25/01.

Well the dealer has the car. I'm about to call them.
