As everyone knows the KYB adjustable shocks for the 5th gen are being held up by Cattman. He seems very secrative on what changes he makes to the 4th gen KYBs in order to get them to fit on the 5th gen. I'm not going to wait any longer so here's what I'm going to try. I'm installing H&R springs next week with Tokico front struts but for the rears since Tokico rear shocks are crap(generic). I'm going to install the KYBs in the rear. These should install without any modification to the car or mount point. I had the Tokico shocks in my last car but the rear shocks after 10,000 miles started to bounce alot. I'm hoping that the adjustable KYBs in the rear will make the ride less bouncy when I have passengers and or heavy itmes in the trunk. According to Cattman's site there should be no problem in doing this...installing KYBs rears into the 5th gen.
Does anyone see a problem in doing this? Has anyone installed KYBs in a 5th gen yet?
I've gotta do something because my car seems out of control when driving aggressively.

That's really odd that the rear shocks would to go out since the much heavier part of the car is the front. But there should no problem to do this. Especially when they are adjustable anyway.
I wonder what is the problem to mount the AGXs on the front of the 5-gens? Lower mounting differences or upper?

My bet is that you'll have to modify the strut rods (like the 4th gen Konis on a 5th gen)....... unless you do something else which makes life much easier.
Hint: The 4th gen and 5th gen OEM struts are VERY similar with the exception of the rods.
Brian wants to modify them so they bolt right on... but you really don't have to go through all the trouble.
