2k2 Non-Bose wiring Q

I have a 2k2 WITHOUT the Bose system. As you know, if I want to add an amp/woofer to the trunk, I need the power/ground and speaker feed wires. Does Nissan wire the non-Bose Maxima with the power and speaker leads somewhere into the trunk? Is it pre-wired and the wires are just not used if you don't ahve the Bose system?

You want to run power at least a 8 gauge for small amps like 200 watts and 4 gauge on 400 watts and above and your ground needs to be same size as power and no longer than 3 feet from your amp. If your going to use your factory deck you need to run your wires from the rear speakers from the deck and convert it to RCA's unless your amp has line level inputs like a crappy rockford.

Where can I pick up the speaker signal? Do I have to tear apart both back doors since the rear speakers are in the doors?

Just go from the back of the deck it's easier and here is how you can tell which speaker is which. If you have access to a solder gun take speaker wire and tape speaker wire to each end of AA battery then solder each other end of wire so its hard also add a 5 amp fuse inline with positive side so you don't fry other wires. Now you can unplug the harness from back of radio and check wires. Or you can call up a stereo shop and ask them for wire colors for each speaker.
