Altima runs 13's in 1/4

Here is a link to the guys timeslip running in the 13's with his 2002 Altima. I seems the Altima is just as fast if not faster than the 2002 Maxima.

I imagine that "as fast" is pretty accurate. That guy has an intake. Given that we have a few very low 14's w/o intake, I'd imagine that high 13's are possible with intake also.

That's a nice run for that guy.

That's strange...

I was there THAT night and ran in the RIGHT lane.
I don't remember seeing an Altima INFRONT of me.
So, it must have been slower than MY Maxima.

See, here is MY time slip too...

Man, you are really being rude as hell over there. At least three or four threads about someone's mother and crap like that. Why are you being so up in their faces about this? Either he ran the 13.9 or he didn't, but they clearly don't care what your opinion in the matter is. I guess posting is your perogative, but you know the crap you are posting would get deleted or locked if you did it here.

Better there insted of here. Trust me

Phatone. It's probably slightly amusing but you are not really representing the maxima community very well.

The bottom line is both cars are very quick. Both are so quick stock that the difference is the driver. I don't have a track close to me so it is hard to get a real number with mine. The problem I have is how to launch quickly. 2500RPM or more and I get lots of wheel spin and some wheel hop. This can't be quick. Whats to best way to launch for the quickest times?

Picking one car over the other is like picking the naked blonde over the naked redhead. You can't go wrong.

believe me a 2k2 6sp with a good driver with an intake can brake 13's easily and can beat up that alitma runing 13.9 by atleast .2 seconds

".2 seconds"

Like I said both cars are fast. Alti drivers say they are faster and Maxi drivers say they are faster. Who's right? It's up to the driver.

I would have thought that they would have just put the VQ30DE-K in the Alty but I guess they decided on the VQ35DE for it to keep parts common, expenses lower, and clean up on Camcords. Oh well. It's true, the VQ35DE is Nissan's 3800 Series II

I could believe his 13.9's. Look at the 60' time: 2.1xx

I don't think any 2k2 6spd owners have nailed a perfect launch like that yet, but somebody will soon enough, and they'll probably be in the 13's too

He says he launches at 4K-6K
and shifts at 7000-7100rpm
What a joke!
Aside from the fact no one witnessed it and his timeslip is over a year old. And now he is saying that he might not run at english town this weekend but will give people test drives! Funny ****!

truth be told, they're lucky they weren't using my maxima Plus that thread doesn't look accurate. Still damn Nissan for releasing the 3.5 on Altimas.

Honestly i think the cars feel totally different and have a different taste. It just sux that because of Altimas, now they are going to revamp the Maxima "again" and so soon. In addition Nissan has some plan up there sleeves especially with the Skyline coming to the USA.

It is fishy. First off, Columbus day is in October. Who calls that summer? Also, who calls March 1st summer?

Hmmm...

Who cares...the actual 13.9 run is far less interesting than what is actually going on over on the Altima board. I can't believe their moderators haven't locked that thread yet.

Bogus!!

that thread is out of control. Personally I smell BS. The guy uses odd numbers then posts a slip that looks doctored. Oh and now he can come up with a pic of his car with the #60 on it, Geee I can go to safeway and buy a bottle of white shoe polish and put it on the car and go to a parking lot for a picture.

I do agree that the moderators there are not working, and I am gladd I wouldn't never have to read all that crapp over here.

And what is with the Jimmy Rigged intake he said he put on? "Oh I just put it on somehow"??? He couldn't remember how he did it?
