5 MPH Bumpers work.

Well, I had my first (hopefully only) accident with my 2K2. I was exhausted after a 14 hour day at work, and was stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic in Downtown L.A. I must have dozed off for a split second and when I came to... I was a foot or two from the car in front of me going about 8 MPH. By the time I hit the brakes, it was too late. It scared the $hit out of me, and the driver of the Accord I hit. I thought for sure I ruined the bumper if not more, based on the force of the impact. After pulling over to assess the damage, I had a slightly bent licence plate, and nothing else. Not even a scratch. The Accord's bumper was off kilter and paint chipped off a large area (1 ft.) of the bumper. Thankfully no injuries (at that speed there shouldn't be)

Anyhow... Thought you guys might want to know how the Max's fair in low-speed impacts!!

I don't want to jinx myself, but I have to say that they kick ***! I have had two incidents where I thought for sure my max was going to be messed up.

1) This was a total knucklehead move on my part! I was backing out of my drive way (late for work and apparently half asleep) when I slammed into the car behind me! Luckily nothing happened to either car!

2) I was in a line of traffic trying to exit a parking garage, when a cr**k ho decides to back right into the lower rightt hand side of my max...at a good clip I might add! I get out and she is says "Honey you are too cute to be angry.....nothing happened to your pretty little car anyways". I was fumed at this point, but she was right.

So far from what I see they are pretty good!
