Speedo/Guage Problem

Anybody have problems with the guages going out? I'm having a problem where all the guages (speedo, tach, odo, fuel, temp) go out at the same time. Usually the guages with needles will get stuck in a set position and the odo becomes illegible. Only happens once the car is warmed up, usually after more than 20 minutes of driving.

The car is an '01 SE 5 speed with 18,600 miles. It's at the dealer today, but I'm not confident that they'll find anything so I'd apprecaite any help. Thanks. Dan

Hopefully it's just a loose connection or something...

If the whole cluster is going out...

I would say probably a loose or poorly fitting wiring harness somewhere in the line....

I wanted to let everyone know that they found a faulty circuit board on my car that was causing the guage cluster problems. I don't know which circuit board. They ordered a new one under warranty and it will be installed next week.

The important thing to note is that they said this is the second one they've seen with this problem. Could be another thing to add to the list of 5th Gen issues.

the circuit they are talking about is mounted directly behind the gauge faces, make sure they recalibrate the miles(odometer) to the correct setting since i was told it holds the mileage
