My TSB Experience. (well lack of)....

Just wanted to add yet another case of clueless service:

My AE has the shaky hood problem, so I dropped into my Nissan dealer to discuss the problem. It went something like this:

ME: My hood is vibrating at highway speed, and I would like to have it checked out and maybe have the TSB performed. Do I need an appt?

SERVICE: I don't know nuthin about that, but jus turn dem rubba stoppas at each corner to snug yer hood up

ME: But my hood is aligned. I shakes in the driver's corner by the windshield, can you do the TSB? I'm worried that the hood may be separated from the support.

SERVICE: Now I don't know anything about that, we jus turn the rubba stoppers to fix the problem. It usually works. You go home and do that, but come on back if it don't work!

AHHHHH! The sound of quality service!

Mississippi

What part of Mississippi are you in, I am in Hattiesburg and I have had problems with getting things fised here as well. I just bug them enough and they finally did it. But I don't deal with my local dealer anymore, I go to either Jackson or the Coast! It is good to see another maxima from Mississippi here on the org!!

I live in Columbus, MS right, now and I'm at the mercy of the small town dealer. Will be moving back to the coast in about eight weeks where I bought the car. Hope things change for the better then.

Here is a case of just plain BAD SERVICE.
I don't like to bash people, but VALENCIA NISSAN,CA sure deserves this.
I have a 2K Max and a 2K Pathfinder. I took the Pathfinder into the dealer for an oil change. The service guy offers to change the wiper blade refills for $10. They were a little worn so I said what the heck. 2 hours later, the service guy calls me at work and says one of the wiper blade assemblies was "wrong" and that he can replace it for $45. I said everything is original and that I've never touched them. I told him it's a factory defect. He says maybe somebody played a trick on you and switched them. I argued and asked for the service manager. After almost 10 minutes on hold, he comes back and tells me the manager is sick, but he will split it with me. Too bad it was a busy day at work and I didn't have much time to argue. I should have just told them to put everything back, but I told him to just do it. When I picked up my car after work, I saw the service guys joking around with the "sick" manager.
Since then, I have never gone back to this dealer and never plan to go back for ANY service. Instead, I drive 15 miles to the next Nissan dealer.

nice...

the PF has two different size inserts. I took home the wrong one for the passenger side.. but the parts guy wasnt a moron. he looked alittle harder and found the right one and just handed it to me.

Now you have the INCORRECT wiper assembly. nice
