After having my car detailed (and then going over it myself with the McGuiar's Final Step), I finally bought a California Duster I'd seen at Pep Boys.

This thing is pretty tight!

I usually have to wash my car at least every week to get all the dust off. I've been just running this thing over it every morning, and I haven't washed my car yet in little over a week, and it still looks like I just had it washed!

So far, I'm loving this thing. It was only like 20 bones, and every wash I can push off is saving $10-12. (plus my car is clean every day!)

This and putting Lexol all over the leather are like my 2 forms of crack.

I got one of those this past spring when my car had a film of green pollen on it, and my grey car actually had a green hue to it! It does work pretty nice and does not harm the finish. Yeah, and I like the Lexol Leather care stuff too!

Just be sure not to swipe it if the car has any moisture on it. The water just totally ruins the effectiveness of the Duster!!! I've been using it for years.

Its not a wax, Mingo.

Its actually a duster where the cotton has been treated with carnuba wax, i think.. and by running it over the car it "lifts" the dust away from the car, but if your car has ANY moisture on it, it will look like crap..

yep...

they work great...
especially useful during pollen season...
it sucks to clean your car then have pollen all over it a half hour later...
not a problem if you got the duster...

also if you keep your car freshly waxed all the time you should only have to actually wash it after it rains cuz it'll pull all the dust right off the car!

my local kmart has the cali duster and the water blade. How does the waterblade compare to a chamois? I assume its faster.. but does it work as well?

water blade works pretty good...
kinda a pain if your car has alot of angles...but it works.
definitely quicker than a chamois...
best to use the water blade 1st then finish w/ a chamois.
