I know I am crazy, but I want to buy one re92 with minimal wear. Anyone interested in doing this? I got an un-patchable hole in my sidewall and don't feel like dumping $$$$ on new rubber now.

 

maybe, just maybe, another Max owner had either gotten totally disgusted by the RE92's and took them off....or....someone may have bought new tires and rims and traded their old ones....

 

I have called tire shops, it just hurts to spend more than 200 on one of those damn things In fact I was hoping someone was disgusted.

 

I know it pains me to admit there are Max's there, but they DO get wrecked sometimes.

I have one RE92 with 75% of the tread left. I got a nail in the sidewall but the tire didn't go flat. I drove to the shop to get it replaced. When we got the tire off and pulled the nail, it had not gone all the way through. It was a 1/2" long peice of metal that went in vertically. There is no visible damage on the inside of the tire. I wasn't comfortable with that, so I just put a new one on.
