i know my friends mount their shift lights right next to the A-pillar and use it shift at the maximum point so they dont have to look down just pay attention to a light that flashes when needed. And they change it for street driving for example redline when racing and 3000 when driving around+

well basically their are two different types of shift kits
1. is with an entire tach like this one
http://autometer.com/hp/index.html

2. this is just a light by itself
http://autometer.com/hp/index.html

im pretty sure there are different styles to the second one besides that one.

The shift light is a very inexpensive way to increase your driving ability. Without having to pay attention to the tach you can concetrate more on the road, or whoever it is that are blowing by with pure max power.

PICS

- $75 for the blue light
- 20min install
- 2 hours for custom pod design
- bright as s*** day and night.
- adjustable every 100 rpm interval, in seconds.

well worth it. no need to look at the tach.
had to sacrafice the side defroster.

check out my pics

Why would you care? Your light looks good, you use it and you have a manual....

I use mine mostly at night during my "activities". Its not like putting it on a auto....

care about what??? if it's my input regarding the light you're talking about i'm just enforcing it's practicality (1/4 and autoX) to soon to be buyers... "RICE MOD" or not, they seem to serve good purpose for F1 and KART.

Relax pal..its all in good nature..just trying to have a little fun here. You must admit that 90% of the cars you see with these have Fart Tips , and way too many stickers....If you think you drive better with it.. MORE POWER TO YOU !

sorry, didn't mean to give a negative attitude, just giving my .02 ...i agree about the "Fart tips" and the type R stickers that add HP. and actually, first few times with the light, i actually drove worse cuz i wound up watching the light and forgot to shift. the last thing i'm gonna do is flame about a stupid light... to each his own.
