I am going to order a "y" pipe from WarpSpeed (if they ever answer my calls or e-mail) and would like to know if removing the resonator is worth the trouble and what kind of gain's could be expected from such mods. I do not want to replace my muffer (to expensive) as from what I've read here it is not worth the the noise and does not provide enough of a performance increase to warrant the expense.

SS.No one makes a Y-pipe yet for the 02's and removing the resonaton on your B pipe will probably not give you any gains but will make the exhaust sound throatier.One of the guys just did this and he said it cost him 40 buck to have it cut out and a straight piece put in.Thread is "want more sound from stock exhaust" on the first page.Oh and if you did or do find a Y-pipe for the 2k2's 02's 2002's PLEASE let us know.Good luck

 

I might be taking the torch to the "B" pipe this weekend, will let you guys know, along with a new muffler....I too am looking for a Y - Pipe for 2K2.. Will someone besides Stillen make one !

 

i'm getting pricing on a custom b-pipe for the 2000 & 2001 ... if you can get me a pic of your b-pipe I can try & get that priced as well ... no promises though ...
