5 Spd Maxes with ACT clutch???
I spoke with ACT and they said that the 99 clutch will fit on the 2001 max, anyone here that can confirm this???Thanks

I should know this because I just bought one but I'm not sure. If I remember correctly, they do fit both the 99's and the 5th Gens. Dont call ACT though...Got o EATRICEZONE.com....I got my ACT from him and he was pretty col on giving me info too first!. Good Luck.

Can you post your impressions after the instal? My clutch seems to be going and I would like to go aftermarket if a good one is available.

Try a search

Actually I dealt with ACT in figuring out if it worked and I tested the clutch for them and it works for my 2000 Max. I love the ACT it grabs great and have not had any problems, I recommend the ACT.

I am getting the ACT street clutch for my 95 SE with 160K miles and my 2K2 better last just as long. Unless you really beat your car I doubt you need a new clutch after just two years.

With the SC it sometimes doesn't grab, especially when you change the pulley for more boost.

I understand your reasoning however, all cars are made differently. Some of us need new brakes at 10K, while others can go till 60K. The same thing applies the the clutch. It's a wear and tear part and I guess I just tore mine to shreds a little sooner than you did in your 95 SE. Regardless, I just want more grab.

Have it in 4th or 5th gear, go up a hill at about 2500-3000 rpm and floor it. If a clutch doesn't grab, the RPMs increase but the speed does not.
