Damn! You got my 12K beat. Only had 10K before Christmas vacation. I got mine approx. the same time too. Actually, just shy of the 1st. I think Dec. 29/30.

90+% are HWY miles. I take a trip home, seems like once a month, and it's about 400 miles each way. Close to 1K per trip once done tooling around.

Why so low? Saving wear for that SC once the warranty expires?

You’re making my point. Too many people accessing the system would include everyone here
trying to read this thread or to state their age for the tenth time (I can recall at least that number of
similar threads).

BTW, I noticed your terminology that indicated you’re a fellow pilot. I guess we have that
in common.

First new car

This summer or next fall, I plan on serious mods or getting a 350Z. I still owe $11K on my Maxima, and I've paid around $20K worth of loan payments the last 2.5 years. It'd be a waste to trade it in, but I doubt I want to afford two cars.

Indeed I am a pilot, sir. Flew me first turboprop a month ago.

As for the server issue, I dunno-circular argument, I suppose. I have a feeling it's similar to the "Flaps 30 vs. Flaps 40" issues airline pilots debate to death.

Besides, you do have newer members (like myself) who have joined since the last thread died out.

Perhaps we need a forum equivalent of an ATIS announcement: “This is Maxima.org with
information Whiskey. There are now 195 members in the pattern. Current average age of 5th
generation users is 32.......”

Automatic Terminal Information Service-ATIS.
I'll second that! Maybe not so much of a "sticky" thread at the top, but kind of a statistic tracker page. Average age, mods, color, type, etc.

...Or is there already something like that here, and I'm blind/dumb for not seeing it?

Moderators, what do you think?

You know Magellan, you are only adding to the problem. I mean, you have posted what 3, 4 times now on this thread? And only 1 of them actaully pertained to the question asked by the thread starter. If you don't like this sort of thread, you don't have to go in and read it, let alone post on it. I have been on this forum for a few months now, and I do not recall ever reading a thread like this before. And I do actually find this a very interesting 5th gen question.

No, Magellan, this is a relavant topic. We use this board for information exchange not only about our Maximas, but about ourselves (meaning our mods, our performance, our experiences). Posting a message just to me a grump is a waste of the servers time!
By the way..I'm 30!! :-)

I guess I'm just another post *****. But just think, if you hadn't posted your criticism and my impulsive response here, we would have saved two posts.

Sad thing is, I have a REAL job, or at least I think so. I still can't afford to finish what I've started. However, I see a light at the end of 2002.

Hopefully, I don't get Lancer EVO VII(VIII in US?) fever. Dooh!

me?

I dont think.. I only lock and delete

actually, this thread says more about the demographic of forum visitor than a max owner. Kinda like doing a survey of how many people get sick and only asking people who come to see a doctor.

I guess I've left the thread because alot of you seem to care about this. I suppose that is because, as owners, we generally see alot of grandmothers in Max's. I don't think any grandmothers have answered this thread yet, but thats mainly what I see when driving mine :/

I guess we need *alittle* OT for a community atmosphere. I mean, if these posts help everyone get along and bond alittle, then I guess its all for the better. What we really need is the yearly Maxus.

Loving every minute. This is my first new car too, I worked my azz off in college just to drive a '95 Nissan Altima. I just got married in January, and my car makes my wife jealous for more of my time! (Just kidding, not really. But I do love the MAX...)

MAMA-mobile. LOL!

Hey, if your willing to go to Vegas, I'll be there. Short of natural disaster or family crisis.

PICK A DATE!
(I'll be near there from June 28 - July 7. Hint. Hint. )

I'll go if Maxus is held in Vegas, otherwise I would rather fly than drive 14+ hours.

My wife uses the car during the week for a short drive to work. I try to get it out on the highway on weekends, but not usually long drives. The low mileage pays off at sale/trade time.
