My Dream...... Did I mention I'll only drive Nissans?

Well, Magellen...it appears you have become just another one of us younger guys. Age 70 would make cigarmanh the oldest .org member beating you out by a few years.

As far as the average age goes...the math should be qualified and it should be stated that 25.whatever is a good estimation of the average age of a Maxima driver on this forum. The demographics seen posted by Nissan suggest an average age closer to 40, +/- a few years.

Re: Re: average age

I do see a lot of older drivers in my area that appear to be older than my 42 years. So the anecdotal evidence of my eyes seems to support Nissan's number of 40+/- years of age for the average buyer.

It also says a lot about the few of the older folks on this forum who buck the trend.

Statistically, recreational computer users tend to be much younger than 70.

The older set won't use a computer for any reason let alone hang out with a bunch of 25+ year olds exchanging info on car mods etc..etc...

Hats off to all the 60+ year olds. You've earned it in so many ways.

For most of you, old enough to be your father. For some of you, old enough to be your grandfather. For one of you, young enough to be your son . . . but just barely!

I'm 34. This is my first Nissan and I love it. 3 weeks and 1200 miles so far. Traded a 1997 VW Passat GLX 5spd for a 2002 SE 6spd.

Old enough to stay up very late! Bought my 2kSE in Nov of '99 (one of the first in the area) and my baby has about 30k right now; which is probably 1/10 the lifespan of a Maxima. I should know, this is my 3rd SE and the first 2 were still going strong at 150K!!

Turning 20 in december.
2nd car, 2nd max.. 1st had a 93 SE, sold it last summer, now got a 98 GXE. I always think of the $$$ I'd save if I got a worse car but when I think about this I take a glance out of my window and forget about those thoughts modding cars is an expensive hobby, but I love it too much.

This thread results is kind of skewed exactly for the reasons that you state. Actually the statistics for the MAX in Canada show an average of 48.

Age is a Good Thing, I Think...

I'm 42. First Max. in '93, second in March of this year. I plan on five more Max. purchases before I die (I'm a long range planner, I guess).

Oiy, all these Twenty-Somethings! Hey, I guess you didn't see the Met's win their first World Series...

Any New York area fans remember that? Ah, the memories...

24 here, in two more days anyway, with 39994 on my black 2k SE. if i can time it right, the max and i will have our milestones on the same day...

bought it new while i was in college - got that great internship, had all sorts of cash - now the economy sucks and nobody wants a poor sap with a useless c.s. degree - so no mods for me!

but i did splurge for wheel locks last month... oh, and my lic. plates reading "maxed" showed up in the mail, too.

maybe we need someplace for this statistical analysis that's a little more efficient? i mean, computers are good at this stuff...
