Hey, my name is Dave, and I just bought a 2002 SE 6spd Grey lustre with a moonroof, and thats it. I live in AZ, and can usually be found drag racing my Mustang at Firebird. I can't wait to get the SE to the track, so what do these things usually ru in the 1/4? What are the best mods to start with? A guy in my car club has a 99SEL with a Vortech 9lb on it, he has run a best of 13.8 on drag radials, I want to take him out. Do I have a chance? How quick are these? It sure feels fast enough. Any advice would be helpful.

the 6-speeds have gotten down to 14.2 stock i believe. a couple of 14.3s and 14.4s as well. you sound like you know how to drive a car. you'll probably be able to get some good times like that. as far as mods go, there isnt much available right now. you have a few choices for intakes and cat backs but thats about it for engine mods. plenty of suspension mods are available. have fun with your car. i think you'll love it.
