i was going to cut one coil from each of my front eibach springs....i have a 2001 maxima...when i went to get it done the guy told me he would do it but im taking a risk of the spring popping out.....or coming loose....is that possible? ..do ground control coilovers suck,......can ANYONE describe how bumpy they are?...would kyb's make the ride better?

dont cut your springs......your ride quality will suck

 

Yeah, if you cut too much off the spring you can have seating problems if your suspension is fully unloaded. This could happen if you're driving fast and hit a hill, crest or large bump. The spring obviously won't pop off because of the strut rod.

On one of my previous cars I cut too many coils off the stock coils and I had to always to re-seat the front spring after the vehicle was on a lift. Back in my young and naive days...

I wouldn't cut any off Eibachs because in my opinion you would ruin them. If you're going to cut any springs, try it with your stock ones.
