Need Advice!!!!

Okay, I've been haggling with different local dealers and this is the best offer I've gotten so far.

My fully loaded 2001 SE Automatic + $500 and tax&licensing for a 2002 base Sterling Mist 6speed.

What to you guys think....should I do it?

Yes. If luxury isn't your first priority, it's a very good deal.

Base?? Does that mean GXE?
I don't think I could go from fully loaded anything to base on the same model.
You should look at selling the 01.

I know it's a big hassle to sell...but
from complete luxo to nothing is a big, big change.

You can't get the GXE in a 6-spd, only the SE model. Base means no options, bare bones.

I just went to Nissandriven.com and configed a base SE 6 speed.
Given that the radio am/fm/cd/cassete It's a great deal.

I'd jump on it.

Bare bones isn't as bare as I thought it'd be.

based on this site (finish the info) http://www.carsdirect.com/build/styl...&zipcode=60085 and this site http://www.kbb.com/ (finish it also)It seems like a very fair deal. If you want the go and can live without the creature comforts (think verrry hard about want you now and won't on this car) then do it, I know I could not!

carsdirect price in 60085 is 22,555
carsdirect price in 94501 is 23,311

That's a 756 dollar difference....damn I wish I lived in your area.

Well, I'll be getting $1000 HID's, 6speed tranny, and about 40 HP and a lot more TQ at the wheels (compared to my automagic).

I'll be losing the Bose, leather, sunroof, and heated seats.

I have a MP3 deck and 3 10" Kickers ready to install(need a good amp). I can always get aftermarket leather which will look a lot better than the 2001 leather. I don't even use the sunroof. I don't really need the heated seats. Imma do it. Hopefully by Monday, I'll be posting a pic of my new baby!!

Thanks for posting your opinions!

I am so ****ed off.....on the day(Sunday) that I decide to come in, the dealers calls back and says NO. They will need a thousand more for the 2002 6speed. I said NO, so the damn deal is off.

I'm going to sell my car privately before it's worth nothing

Damn, you got a lot of miles on your ride. I think I'll start looking for a used 6speed with less miles on it.

Why don't you want your ride any more, it looks tite with the ninja front end. Are you getting tired of the paint chips?

Oh yeah, you're looking for a corolla right? Good luck with that.

Finally they decide to open a Best Buy close to home. I usually drive all the way to Newark to buy DVD's from Best Buy. I hate driving down there...there's usually traffic when I go.
