Which lowering springs---------->

Hey whats up guys. Well i tried doing a search but nothing came up that I wanted. I want to know which springs are the lowest for out 5th Gens. Thinking about H&R but I saw one with the Eibach's and to me it looked lower. Does anyone know what the drops are on all the springs available for my car.

Thanks

Chris

Considering I paid for the navi.. would I buy " CHEAP " springs..Why dont you post a thread saying that Maxspeed Springs are "CHEAP" and see what kind of feedback you will get ? Since you are so BOLD in attacking other people's choice of Springs.. I would suggest you post a thread saying this, If you have the "original factory equpiment" to do so !

I wouldn't settle for anything less than Eibachs or H&R's on my babies. Well known, well respected, race proven brands.

H&R is definitly lower than Eibach (1.5/1.4 vs. 1.3/1.0 I think). BTW I don't have them, but maxspeed springs are built to the same ISO 9001 certification as H&R and Eibach, so I would not go sh*t on them. At any rate they are better than stock, and from what I hear they give the car a very even drop.

yo kloogy..he didnt mean no offense by it so relax bro. H&R is a little lower than eibach..h&r being 1.4 in the front and 1.3 in the back. eibach is 1.3 and 1.0 in the back. H&R has stock like ride..eibachs more sporty. i heard some comparisions bout B&G being close to H&R quality..the ride and everything..and theyre inexpensive..not cheap.

Got them installed today. Took 4 hours and cost me @260.00. I probably paid too much but I wanted it done right and didn't want to deal with hearing squeaks or rattles while driving around. Hope these stock struts last.

So far so good. I'm really happy with the drop. I think it's too early for us to judge them and call them cheap. I just got these from a group buy of about 17 people, there was another group buy not too long ago as well. I have yet to read a single complaint about them so I think the jury is still out on this one. (fingers crossed)

The Eibachs on Bernies 2k car sit nice and ride smoother than I anticipated.

The H&R's I had on my 99 were nice but I chose a poor option on tires for these but the ride was firm and responsive without slamming it all the time.

The Max Speeds I currently run were a great value as I originated teh Group Deals on two out of the three Group Deals. I like them a lot with thte wheels I have now and it is not even as close to sagging in the back like my H&R's.

Just my 2 cents... Good Luck and Happy Motoring!

Just because you buy Navi means that you arent gonna buy cheap stuff? I dont think so. Maybe your really horrible with directions or something like that. Calm down there just springs. Damn I wonder what you would say if I said something about your exhaust .

Well to the other people thanks for the feedback and keep them coming in.

WRONG!

Eibach = low H&R = somewhat factory but with a lil drop.
i know because my friend had H&R and i had Eibachs, my car was lower by far. plus from what my rep at STILLEN said H&R's are if you dont wanna move from a stock ride.

I believe he knows. He was part of the 2nd rd deal. He's just pointing out that some places do charge a steep price.

The only reason people call them cheap is because we bought them for 85 bucks. I mean if they're made to the right specs then the only thing that's cheap about them is the price. I could handle that.

I think Eibachs lower the car more than H&R's. I know they say the drop on H&R's is more but i've seen a few cars with eibachs and they look lower then my car did when i had stock wheels and h&r's. Me and the other two of my friends with H&R's aren't really happy with the drop. I would try to get the ground control coil overs.

You are RIGHT. By the way, my car has dropped some more in the last 4 days....It rides rough..kind of like my Eibachs did on my TA.. THATS A GOOOD THING ! .. This means they'll handle great. Pan Motorsports here in San Diego sells them for 175.00 . After installing them myself, I can tell they are not cheap springs....Just my opinion...

Out of curiosity, what are you running for struts? I was thinking maxspeed springs for my max, but if the ride is a lot rougher, then maybe I might go with H&R. I mean I expect it to be a little rougher, but if it rides like my bros max on Eibachs, then I will stay 4x4

H&R for me...

I put the H&R's on earlier this year with great results. Smooth ride, just enough added stiffness. I put Tokico's on at the same time, so no info here about how H&R's ride with stockers.

Check out my page for photo's of before and after the H&R drop.

On the Eibach vs. H&R...H&R's manufacturers numbers are lower than Eibach, but H&R also claims to have less settling due to the way they wind their springs, so maybe, in the end, the Eibach's will settle to be lower.

Kloogy...nothing like overreacting my man.

WHAT?!? The word here for so long has been that Maxspeeds ride like H&Rs -- near stock. Are you kidding? The ride is rough? any chance this is from installing them yourself? No offense meant, serious question.

UHHH.. NO ! I have installed Springs on different cars . They ride " ROUGH " compared to stock. Hey, its my opinion. Ask others who have them. One thing is for sure, they handle GREAT ! You cant expect a Lowering spring to ride NICE and handle great... It's one or the other .

on my X MAXIMA 2000 sunlit sand, i had Eibachs and then i had switched to H & R with TOKICOS. The car was crooked, doesn't look better than Eibachs and the front was way too stuff. Eibachs if used with good shocks/struts looks good and rides better. Eibachs gives better braking...
