How often do you change the air filter ?

Um, you can... Its definitely a DIY item!!!! Loosen the two clips on top of the airbox and pull up. Replace filter and put the tray back in and refasten the clips.
Yeah, unless you're running a K&N, Monster, Amsoil, etc, 15k is about the limit because it gets really dirty by then, and all that dirt restricts airflow and makes the car perform less than perfect.

hm, when i was home on holiday from school it is possible my father could have gotten it replaced. even more confusing, it is possible my girlfriend might have got it done at her work (she works at a honda dealership). i'll look into this.
anyway, tell me this, where can i buy a k&n drop-in filter? is there a specific size i should keep in mind?
also, if im planning on getting an CAI soon, should i even bother with this?

If youre unsure about when the filter was changed, pull it out and see how dirty it is. I don't mean to be an a$$ about it, but if its clean then it doesn't need to be changed. Yeah, they do check usually check your filter with an oil change, but ask them to show it to you, don't just take their word. If they change it every 3000 miles for you because it's "dirty" then they make more money and you get ripped off because it should last around 15k or so.
You can order a K&N drop-in from a number of places online, or you can go to your local AutoZone and get one and save on shipping. Either way its still going to be $50 (w/o Shipping). You will need the 33-2031-2 (I think).
If you plan on getting a CAI soon, then don't even bother with the K&N because you will be removing the stock airbox and filter and then won't have any more use for the $50 filter you just bought.
