I know you know what Im talking about.. These guys that drive the big trucks and not thing about any one on the road.. they think that just do to the fact that they are in this BIG *** TRUCK means that you have to move...

I was on my way to school slowing for a stop lite and the guy infront of me is in a doge 1500 that has about a 3in lift on it... he go's to trun in to this coffie shop... Sees a nother one of his red neck friends and stops to talk to them... with the *** of his truck still in the road... wich i glance off of... (will post pics later) and do next to no damage to his truck but i need a new headlight, hood, and right side finder... oh and replace the Brand new braw for the car, it was a Bday gift from my dad to cover the damage he did( car Vs dog at about 30 miles an hour). soo now i have no car tell i can get the 500 to cover my deductable... the police found us both at falt so his insurance is paying for him and mine is paying for me.. once i get the 500... well guys I just needed to vent that... and I put it in the 5th gen forums seeing as that is what I drive...

sucks man. i hope the guy was cool about it at least. i try to keep my distance appropriate to the type of car and driver. women get three car lengths at least.
and from what i've seen as an emt, you should always assume other drivers are idiots and treat them accordingly.

Your fault 60%, red neck's fault 40%.

Thats why you need to keep a safe distance. And as for rednecks, I dont have a problem with them as long as they dont have a problem with me. Rednecks in blacksburg, (home of VaTech) are very nice. But even if I run into a reddest redneck of all like somewhere in Kentucky, and he looks at me strangely because I'm asian, I understand that too. Give him a break. Growing up in Kentucky, or Alabama or whatever and never seeing any asian people, that's understandable.

Go to Enterprise rent a car, rent a v8 dakota put a 12-inch lift kit on it and pay the insurance for the day, run it full blast into the guy and then give the keys back to enterprise and claim the guy pulled out, therefore with insurance his truck is screwed and enterprise has to pay for it all and he gets a taste of his own big truck syndrome, hehehe!!

$600 a month?!?!? for insurance ?!?!? they're on crack. besides my g/f just went thru that mess and if it's 50/50 fault, then your insurance co cannot raise your premiums since there's no majority liability.
if they're sticking to it, then you've got two options to keep your max:

1 - switch insurance co.
2 - screw the insurance claim and pay the repairs out of pocket. this'll definitely be less than a raise in your monthyly premium for the next three years.

man i feel for you. that really blows.

Driving is something handed down, the majority of the time if your parents are good drivers you will be too. Some of friends that are awfull drivers were just not taught very well.

Dave's statemant is correct the other fools in Northern VA are so much worse. As a general rule if you see a big vehicle ex:monster truck, bulldozer, 18 wheeler, Humvee, etc... keep your distance and be very careful. Not saying you could have avoided it but as you get older you will learn to pick and choose your spots to get squirrely. Sorry to here about your bad luck with insurance, sounds like something Geico would do.

I know exactly what you're talking about. My experiences with trucks and a-holes never seem to end. I've owned 3 maximas and the second one I purchased just after this Ford 250 dulley RAMMED the chevy prizm I was driving on the highway at 70mph! He was upset cause I went around him in the right when he wouldn't get over ( he was just hanging out in the passing lane with nobody around). After I passed him in the L, he caught up to me at the next lull in traffic and kept flashing his brights at me. I warned him flashing my brake lights (he wasn't very close to me at that point). Then, he just crept up on my *** and ran into me. I was in shock!!!! I dialed 911 on my cell and several state troopers were waiting at the exit he got off at ( just happened to be the next exit, my exit too). HE pulled into this gas station, knowing he was toast and was caught. His insurance paid in full and I got rid of that car.

Just 2 days ago, driving in my current maxima (2001 SE, 5sp, sterling mist, gray luster leather inter, all options), this guy in afull size truck trew an empty pop can out, which then hit the road in front of me and then hit my front end! I had just pulled up behind them on the highway and hadn't ever seen this truck before in my life. The guy was in the left lane, and it was his passenger that tossed it out the passenger window, so of course it's not going to just go off the side of the road it's going to hit a car in either the left or right lane. It hit me and there was plenty of other traffic around that it could have hit instead. I got around the guy and looked over... there were 4 guys in the truck (all dumb rednecks) and as soon as they saw me looking at them, the got ****ed and trew a fit. I passed them and the passenger pulls out a rifle and aims it at my car! I took off got up to 130 and lost them. They tried to follow me off the exit about 2 miles up, until I lost them. I was so frustrated and mad about the whole thing. I called the police and reported, haven't heard back yet. What is this world coming to?

How old are you exactly? I'm planning to buy a 2k2 SE in May or June and the insurance quote I got is 1100/6 months. I am 21 (22 in June) have 1 ticket (on my record ) and 1 accident. It's a $500 deductable.

Maybe I'm getting a fabulous deal..I dunno...

Well, living in Ky (and Tenn) all of my life, I can assure you there are Asians here. We have the Toyota plant, Nissan plant and several other Japanese, Chinese and Korean companies with plants located in these states. Also, the college that I went to here has a good percentage of Asian students. Just wanted to clarify that there are rednecks in every state (and yes, we do have our fair share of them!!) and Asians too.

Sorry to hear about the accident by the way. I know what you mean by those trucks not being able to see us in the "little" cars down below.
