Installed Courtesy FSTB today. Not one problem.

Ohla.I installed my Courtesy FSTB on my 2k2 today without complications.Ive read a lot about people having problems with the install.I encountered no problems and it was quick and simple.Bar has about 1/2-3/4" clearence on the manifold and it sits perfectly straight(not tilted).I put some baby powder on the bar and closed the hood and it hit on one spot where the hood padding is thickest(spot the size of a penny).I must have gotten a miracle bar because there was some posts with 50+ replys about having problems with install.I still don't understand the part about making it longer or shorter to raise and lower it so it does not hit the manifold or hood. You cant raise or lower both sides due to its a fixed width. You can make one side or the other higher or lower.Well I feel its a GREAT mod and I felt a difference instantly.Took alot of the bouncy, floating felling away and improved my cornering a ton.Did some runs on a tight 180 entrance ramp before and after. Before the intall I hit 58mph and didn't push it any more because I felt the tires were going to blow and the car was leaned over fairly good(For me thats the OH SHIET stage).Today the same corner at 72 and I was not even close to the OH SHIET stage. Its a must have for you handling fans and well woth the ching.

Congrats on the new mod. I love my FSTB, too. That is a good idea about the baby powder. I am going to try that on mine because I think mine is hitting the hood slightly on one side. When closed, my hood sits about 1/8" higer than the fender on the drivers side. Passenger side is perfectly flush.

You must be one of the lucky ones. My bar kept hitting the manifold.... After almost torching it, I calmly took the time to make it arch, though I almost stripped the bolts doing it. I finally got it to clear enough so that it wont hit.... Leftcoast , helped me with the RSB today. Between Maxspeeds, FSTB, and RSB.... .. fells like a totally different car than when it was stock... and not too harsh a ride !

I had leftcoast help me... He's done 2 already, mine was his 3rd, so he knocked it out, with some mild assistance from me in an hour....thats without ever lifting the car, If we wouldve lifted it, it wouldve been faster...My car's lowered too !
