kills for the weekend

what a weekend, me and my girlfriend and a couple of friends went out on the town last night to have a little fun, we were just cruzin along when this car pulled up next to me and reved his motor, i looked over and he just smiled so we pulled up to the light (he had 4 people and so did I) the light turned green and we just pulled away he whole time and the same thing happened at the next light so that was twice, when he pulled up next to us he wanted to know what i had done to my car, K&N and greddy cat back. he then told me that he was an auto and it wasn't fair to race an standard but after i told him that i was auto, he just smiled and said he had to leave. he was driving a 2001 rivera 3.8 supercharged.

also me and my buddies took out our cars and the kills go like this:

2000 Honda Civic SOHC v-tech w/cold air intake, muggan exaust standard
3-4 car lenghts
1995 Pontiac Grand Am quad 4 standard
3-4 car lenghts
1985 Ford Mustang 5.0 302 auto
2-3 car lenghts

Thanks:
Mike

SOHC VTEC - Civic EX, You only beat this car by 3-4 cars! He is probobly pulling high 16's.

DOHC VTEC - Civic Si, That means this car could take you!

Do you have a 2002 Maxima? If you do you should have won by alot more.

Ummm, civic SI????? I have a 2k auto w/ no mods except springs/wheels and I have slaughtered more than 1 si....2 of those were modded.

By the way will you do me a big favor and show me your time slip with your 14.9??? Please

Im not doubting you I have a friend with an integra rs who says there is no way you ran a 14 N/A in your accord. He says this because he says every accord hes ran Hes beat. and he is also N/A. Id like to prove him wrong.

dont forget I said please.

I am not saying you cannot beat an Si in your 2k auto w/no mods. I am saying if this guy beat a civic ex by only 3-4 car lengths then that means an Si could take him. I have beat si's in my accord when it was stock so I could see no problem with you taking him. The time slip only showed my reaction time, 60' time, 1/4 time, Mph, and who won the race. 14.96 was my best time. I couldn't get past 15.2 until I bought my centerline wheels which weigh only 14.2lbs. Plus it was at sea level at Sears point raceway at about 65 degrees.

Hey I forgot to mention one thing....If you want to prove your friend wrong tell him to go to www.V6accord.com because there are several accord V6 N/A that run high 14's. Go to the 1/4 mile posts and there is 5 pages of timeslips for accord V6's. I hope that helps!

Thats because they make them in a manual transmission and they dont yet with the Accord V6. 2002 Maxima Autos don't hit 14's all day long unless modded like yours.

I do not have a scanner to post them sorry. The only thing I can do is just type it for you. I know thats not as credible but I am just posting what I did. To back up my high 14's 1/4 mile, i was at sea level at sears point raceway with 65 degree weather and low humidity. I also have 14.2 lbs centerline wheels which helped out quite a bit. That is all the clarification I can give you now but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

This is obvious. Accord owners already know this.

I will look around for links with time slips in the 14's. I cannot post mine because I have no scanner sorry. I know that doesn't prove anything. I ran 3 times and 14.961 was my best time and 1st run. 2nd run was a 15.144 and 3rd run was a 15.251. If you have any questions for me feel free to ask. Later man

To the best of my knowledge, there's only one other guy with an Accord V6 that's at high-14's NA and that's "ALTA PRECISION" over at Accordv6.com. But his car isn't even a US-spec model. It was built at the same Marysville, OH plant, but for export and this guy lives in the Dominican Republic. The difference is that the car hardly has any emission controls/restrictions compared to the US-spec models so it really isn't comparable. ALTA did have some serious mods, though. He did the first CL-S manifold swap along with pretty much all bolt-on's, IIRC.

All the other guys are running 15's or 16's N/A.

There are two guys that definitely should be in the high-14's at minimum but just haven't been to the track yet and those two are v6MoMoney (210 fwhp) and 30V6200HP (205 fwhp). Both of those guys have all bolt-on's and Unichip ECU tuning which has proven to be a key to getting more performance out of the Accord V6. Without ECU tuning most of them bottleneck in the low 17x-fwhp range no matter how many bolt-on's.

I believe J30A1's time because it's at Sea Level. If you convert it back to higher altitude where most other people run at it becomes a mid-15 time like everybody else with those mods.
