one 6x9 in rear deck???? 2k

My sub recently blew and I am considering putting 1 6x9 speaker in the center of the rear deck - set up mono from amp. I have the Premium sound setup - not bose. Has anyone done this? I am looking for more sound from rear and i do not need deep heavy bass? any input is much appreciated...
Note: I did not go to the electronics/stereo section because of this being a 5th gen issue

Yup. I also have the Premium sound system. I went with an 8" Kicker sub in a custom enclosure mounted under the deck. And there's already a cutout under the deck for a sub. It's not directly in the center of the deck. It's more towards the driver's side.

Yes. The sub faces upward. I'd take a picture, but there's nothing to see. The sub is completely enclosed under the deck lid and the deck itself was recarpeted after it was cut and dynamatted. But the results turned out extremely well. I was able to extend my bass response without adding any "boom".
