2K2 Auto vs 2K2 6Spd. Raced !

I had a chance to meet up with LEFTCOAST. We raced from a stop. He has a few more Mods than I do. It was a close race through his first few gears.. But towards the end of his 3rd gear, he shredded me by about 2 cars ! It was an awesome race. I drove his 6 speed and that thing pulls and ROARS ! We hope to visit the track soon, and get some solid ET's....

Its difficult to battle your own kin...nobody really wins. But, I'll take the credit this time. Hats off to Kloogy for driving my 6-speed like a pro.

Lessons learned tonight... I NEED springs...cornering seems effortless in Kloogy's Max compared to my stock.

I got my H&R springs and Tocico shocks put on yesterday and love 'em. FSTB and RSB should help even more.

I'm looking forward to seeing track results too

I raced one 2002 SE Auto too the other day and I pulled pretty hard on him, I was even surprized how bad I beat him. I am stock now.

I have a few less mods than LEFT does, but we were bumper to door till he shifted to third... then he pulled from me HARD.. when I drove his car, that is where I felt the power difference. I am not ashamed of losing to him. I love his car ! He knows it ! It looks great ! It sounds like a Bat out of hell. If I pulled up next to him, his Frankencar, would make me pi$$ all over myself ! 2K2 4LIFE !

It will be interesting to see how a 2k1 5speed Maxima does against a 2k2 Automatic Maxima. I think it will be a tie.

I really dont think so.. I had a guy try this with me, and he was a goner...If you are a modded 5spd.. then it will be different...Remember, Left is pretty modded out. I want to race a stock SE 2K2 6spd.. if anyone knows one in San diego.. email me....Left and I live 5 minutes apart. We are looking to organize a group to go race at a track... There's no shame in losing, as long as it's to a MAXX ! Left said it best.. racing your KIN is WEIRD.. !

I agree with Kloogy..I don't think a 2K1 5-speed will have a chance against any flavor 2K2. I could be wrong, but the auto seems to pull better than any other stock 5th Gen Max I've driven. (2K and a 2K1) I guess the only way to find out is to put it to the test...

A 2k2 has the edge, barely any 5th gens are in the 14s (stock), and even though there are only a few 2k2 autos on this board, they seem to be getting pretty fast times.

I think a 4th gen/5th gen manual with intake and y-pipe would be even through the 1/4. Then I would think that the manua trnny would take over after he 1/4. Dont know though
