PR CAI .. what the f***

Place Racing sent an Altima CAI for my Maxima. does anyone know if they fit? I called them and they said yes on two different times.. but i dont see how. Does anyone have a link to a how-to on the install of PR CAI on 5th gen, preferably 2k2?

Ok after arguing with Place Racing and finally getting the manager (or someone with a brain) i was informed that the 2002 maxima CAI hasnt even been developed yet!@! what kind of bull**** are they trying to pull at this company.. Two different customer service reps told me it will work. After spending 4 hours on my car trying to make it work, I told them they are full of **** and to get me a manager. I shipping it back to them and am getting a refund.
I advise anyone that was thinking about buying from them, just still to the frankencar intake.

Actually, it's common knowledge that there is no PR CAI for the 2k2 Max yet.

Sorry to know what you went through

Good work "smokin" Place Racing out into the open, SmokinOdum. Don't you just love it when a manufacturer lies through their teeth?

I just called Place Racing on the phone. The salesperson I spoke to said that the 2K2 Altima CAI will NOT fit on a 2K2 Maxima, and that a 2K2 Maxima CAI will be available in about a week. Should we believe them?

I'd rather not. If these guys invented the calendar, we'd still be in the 1st century right now

Intake's

Call Injen. They have one for the 2k2. It very pricey, but they claim it make 14hp with no cutting. The part number is RD1940.

Re: Intake's

I just called, 2-3 week availability.

Something tells me this "2-3 week" line is a standard reply among car parts manufacturers

Re: Re: Intake's

I haven't heard much about the Injen CAI...Is is about the same as Place Racing's?

Also, I wasn't clear on where you cut the hole at...It's on the inside? I just briefly looked over the instructions, but since I don't have the part right in front of me, it's hard to visualize...

...and the difference between a 6 speed VQ35DE and an Auto VQ35DE would be what in terms of CAI/Airbox placement?
