Frankencar Intake: Any noticable loss of power below 3000 rpm?

Frankencar Intake seems to be garnering universal praise for it's quality construction, great sound and noticable power increase at high RPM. Anyone experiencing a loss of power at the low end of the RPM range under 3000 like some of the other "pop charger" type intakes?

I noticed an increase in power with my frankencar intake. It seems like I am suffering at high RPM's more than anything.

Well without the intake my buddy in a 4th gen auto could take me by a little ways and he gained big time all the way through first gear. With the intake though I kill him off the line now, so I dont really know.

No noticeable loss below 3000, can't tell if I gained anything on the top end either, but I am sure I did. But the sound.......

the filter of franken intake is located under the hood....where it tends to suck in hot air that trapped in the engine bay. because of that....u might lose some low-end torqure since hot air tends to expand...and expanding air is not very dense...therefore, less air went into the engine.

franken intake try to locate the filter away from the engine as far as possible in order to reduce amount of hot air being sucked in.

stage 2 franken will involve using a cold air inducing method to optimize the intake

I planned to get the franken pretty soon...still lurking for feedbacks and waiting for instruction and dyno for 2k/2k1
